  3. Ownership of the Courses and Your Limited Use.

  5. Time Limit of Access for Each Course; Termination

Each Course has a specified time period for access and use (the “Time Limit”).  The Time Limit begins when COMPLY GURU issues Your login details for each Course and ends as stated with respect to each Course.  Your right to use and access a Course terminates automatically at the end of the Time Limit.  Notwithstanding the foregoing, COMPLY GURU retains the right to suspend or to terminate Your access and use of a Course for any breach of this Agreement (including non-payment).  COMPLY GURU also retains the right to terminate Your access and use of the Course at any time and for no reason by simply refunding your payment for such Course within sixty (60) days of notice of termination from COMPLY GURU.

  7. Entire Agreement
  8. Payment shall be made before use of any Course.  Fees will be as stated on the applicable website or informational materials about a Course, which fees may change from time-to-time at COMPLY GURU’s sole discretion.  All fees are exclusive of any taxes and duties such as value added tax, sales-and-use tax, import or other duties.  You are responsible for paying all taxes and duties at the required rate and in accordance with applicable law.  COMPLY GURU processes payment through a third-party payment provider.  COMPLY GURU shall have no liability for any claims arising out of or in connection with this payment process or the information you provide, including but not limited to the processing or failure to properly process any payment.

  25. Amendments

COMPLY GURU reserves the right to amend this Agreement at any time and from time to time.  Your continued use of any Course after posting of changes on this website constitutes your acceptance of those changes and COMPLY GURU has no obligation to inform you of such changes in any other manner.

  27. Jurisdiction/Choice of Law.
  28. Any legal action by any party or any other person relating to this Agreement or the Course shall be brought and maintained exclusively in the Republic of Ireland and its courts.  The parties consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in such courts and agree not to invoke the jurisdiction of any other court.  This Agreement shall be governed, interpreted and construed in accordance with Irish law, without regard to its conflicts of law provisions.

  29. Invalidity
  30. If any of the terms and conditions of this Agreement is adjudged to be invalid, void or unenforceable, the remaining terms and conditions of this Agreement will not be affected thereby.  Such invalid provision shall automatically be deemed to be replaced by the lawful provision that most nearly embodies the original intention of the parties as expressed herein, and the remaining terms and conditions of this Agreement will in any event otherwise remain valid and enforceable.

  31. Entire Agreement
  32. This Agreement, its terms and conditions, as well as such other agreements or documents referenced herein, as each may be amended from time to time, constitute the entire agreement between You and COMPLY GURU with respect to the subject matter of this Agreement and Your use of the Course, and they supersede all previous communications, representations or agreements, whether oral, written or electronic, between the parties with respect to said subject matter.  A printed version of this Agreement and of any notice given in electronic form shall be admissible in judicial or administrative proceedings based upon or relating to the terms and conditions of this Agreement to the same extent and subject to the same conditions as other business documents and records originally generated and maintained in printed form.

This Online & Integrated ISO 14001:2015 + ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor Training Course (via Blended Learning) will provide learners with the knowledge and skills required to perform first, second and third-party audits of EH&S management systems against ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, in accordance with ISO 19011:2018 and ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015, as applicable.

Each Learner will complete c. 18hrs of online & self-paced modules prior to just four days via virtual workshops (incl. CQI & IRCA Examinations).

Learning Objectives

  1. Explain the purpose of environmental and OH&S management systems, standards and audits
  2. Explain the purpose of third-party certification, and the business and societal benefits of improving performance of the environmental and occupational health and safety management systems
  3. Explain the role of an auditor to plan, conduct, report and follow up a management system audit in accordance with ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021, as appropriate
  4. Plan, conduct, report and follow-up an audit of an environmental and OH&S management system to establish conformity (or otherwise) with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, and in accordance with ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021, as appropriate

Course Certification

This course is certified by Comply Guru. Successful completion of this course will entitle each Learner to a digital Certificate of Achievement covering both ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditing & ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditing.

Assessment Methodology

In order to successfully complete this blended course, each Learner will need to:

  1. Prior to the virtual classroom modules, each Learner must complete the online & self-paced course modules and obtain 70% or higher in the final assessment (s) by the required deadline set in advance of the given classroom dates you are registered for
  2. Fully attend the virtual classroom element as 100% attendance is required
  3. Obtain 70% or higher in the course continuous assessment during the virtual classroom modules
  4. Each Learner must obtain 70% or higher in two, separate examinations (via eAssessment). First is a 2-hour CQI & IRCA EMS Lead Auditor eAssessment, followed by a shorter 1hr 40min CQI & IRCA OHSMS Lead Auditor eAssessment. Both are completed securely online (under strict examination conditions). This can be completed from home, work or another suitable location that meets the examination conditions.

Course Entry Criteria

CQI & IRCA recommend that each Learner have the following prior knowledge before completing this course. Its important to note that the Learners understanding of the prior knowledge requirements will be tested as part of the course continuous assessment and final written examination.

Work Experience (Recommended)

  • It is recommended that anyone wishing to attend this course has some work-based experience in Environmental, Health & Safety Management (based on ISO 14001 & ISO 45001) or Internal Auditing in advance of registering for this training course

ISO Standards (Required)

  • Knowledge of the requirements of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 and the commonly used terms associated with each standard is a key pre-requisite in attending this course. Without this knowledge, the course & final examination may be very challenging.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 may be gained by completing a relevant CQI and IRCA Certified Foundation training course or equivalent

Management Systems (Recommended)

  • The Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) Cycle
  • The core elements of a management system and the interrelationship between top management responsibility, policy, objectives, planning, implementation, measurement, review and continual improvement.

Occupational Health and Safety Management (Recommended)

  • The concepts of managing occupational health and safety through hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control and compliance with legal requirements and other requirements.

Environmental Management (Recommended)

Fluency in spoken and written English (Required)

  • For participants whose first language is not English, we recommend a minimum English language competency of IELTS 5.5 (or equivalent) for successful completion of the program. This is not assessed by Comply Guru in advance & each participant must self-assess their competency.

Printed Copy of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 (Required)

  • Each participant should bring a printed clean copy of each standard with them to the course. This is not provided by Comply Guru.

In our experience, Workplace IT environments’ internal configurations and available software can vary (new or old), and there may be various limitations or other restrictions in place, and as such, the functionality of any Learning Management System (LMS)  may be impacted, restricted and may not perform well.
